Web 3.0 _ does social media generate emergence ?

Interesting article by Venessa Miemis about the effects of twitter.

But what is the difference that will keep twitter alive as second live didnt sustained?

At the same time i found a sentence quite interesting stating.

Social Media’s emergence is generated by selfish interests of individual human beings. which does not mean that this is an unstable interrelationship as this is a quite low human need. But i could guess that it becomes unstable if you have to tackle a larger problem and if you have to endure a larger down cycle.

You need strong connections with benefits and consequences to really achieve something.

But it could also happen that the little bit of common social contribution to the social network is already good enough to achieve large results.

Twitter facebook _ the chinese parallel universe

Just a quick thought.

As coming from germany I recognize that all my friends and also I have started to talk in english on Facebook and twitter. Sometimes a bit strange. Even here I write not in my mother tong, German. And that is not because I perform so well in that.

This is quite strange as we also infiltrate our private live with a language that we are trained to speak during our business time. Hey, its weekend. But be honest, i do not want to write about something that could be of relevance to a bigger audience. Which bigger audience? Ok, I have some I know in england and us. But coming from that point that i try my best in speaking a common language to connect to as many people as possible form different cultures as possible it made me think that his is perhaps not the only strategy one can run on the web.

Where is the big asien crowd???

We are still talking about the force coming from russia and perhaps there is still a chance of risk. But in times where knowledge is all where is the big crowd coming from asia, africa, india? Where are they on twitter? Do they hide? I guess not and i have a bit a feeling of imbalance.  Call me naive but we are all dreaming of an open source culture where we could save a lot of work energy if we try to be more a community and not competitors and a huge crowd is missing to agree on that vision. That is a bit mad and unfair. I do not want to wake up with new frontiers and misunderstandings due to lack of intercommunication.

A bit asymmetric.

How many of us can read mandarin or japanese letters?

How many of the asien community can read our threads? Nearly all asien twitterians?

Jeff Bullas _ about 2.0 marketing

Jeff Bullas seems to be quite a productive mind. He is spitting out one comment after the other. Spitting not in sense of low quality. Quality is quite good. Spitting because of the speed.

He delivers very nice insights on WEB 2.0 and marketing issues.

I like the You Tube video he mentioned. IT is a nice compilation of facts and you can’t really tell if these numbers are really relevant and neutral or not. There are som many misscompared numbers out there.

Web 2.0 is talking about a new culture of being authentic and at the same time you find so many opinions about it form great marketing people who still do the same like before they pretend to have a great neutral argumentation and if you take your time you find out that these numbers are not really of value.

ScientificAmerican _ Climate Change article

I am not so glad about the content, but it is good to read this message in american articles more and more as to do change i still have the impression that we need that US moves as a trendsetter. Sad but true we are one large family and if all countries do not belive into the same thing concerning climate change the countries will not move.
